Teaching guidance for U.S. History is provided in these standards-based lesson plans for secondary and higher education. Activities and guiding questions are provided in a logical order intended to build understanding through the steps of completion, but teachers may also select among them to meet classroom needs. Students will explore and analyze archival documents to shed light on historical events and controversies in order to better understand the social and political issues, government interventions, and complexity of life experienced by people of Japanese ancestry before, during, and after WWII.
